Born in Battipaglia, Italy Dario developed a passion for Pizza at the early age of 15. He studied at the renowned Istituto Professionale Alberghiero Ipsar Roberto Virtuoso in Cappaccio, Italy. There he was trained by some of the best Chefs in Southern Italy. He practiced his pizza making skills throughout the Amalfi Coast in Salerno, Pisciotta and Cilento before being recruited by award winning Chef Angelo Elia. In 2011 he relocated to Florida to work at Angelo Elia Pizza Bar & Tapas in Fort Lauderdale, Weston and Coral Springs. In 2019, Dario opened Pizzaiolo Italian Cafe, but was forced to close his doors in August 2022 due to unforeseen circumstances with the location. Almost two years later he is happy to reopen a few doors down as Darios Fort Lauderdale.
